Coach Janza kicked off his coaching job in Eswatini bu guiding Mbabane Swallows to an emphatic 5-0 League victory over Tambuti.
In the Mocambola, it was an off weekend for the Zambian duo of Thomas Nyirenda and Lineker Mwiikisa [Ferroviario da Beira].

In the Vodacom Ligue 1, Legendary Zambian midfielder Charles Musonda who is assistant coach at TP Mazembe was handed a late birthday present by his Mazembe charges who posted a convincing 4-1 win over FC Simba (Kolwezi). Zambian Internationals Kabaso Chongo and Rainford Kalaba both featured for Mazembe while Thandi Mwape was an unused substitute; Nathan Sinkala and Belgian-born midfielder of Zambian descent Lamisha Musonda did not travel with the team.
The Rwanda Premier League is still off season. Zambian coach Albert Mpande who is head coach at Police FC has been linked with a move back home with club side Circuit City who campaign in the Eden University League 1 rumored to be chasing after his services.

Enterprising Zambian midfielder Amity Shamende scored a vital equalizer for the Aggrey Chiyangi coached Green Eagles side that dumped South African giants Orlando Pirates out of the Champions League via a 2-1 aggregate score. Zambian Internationals Augustine Mulenga and Justin Shonga both featured for Pirates but there was no place in the 18 man squad for former Nkana midfielder Austin Muwowo who followed the action from the stands.
In the ABSA Premiership, Lazarous Kambole played the first 65 minutes of the match for the Kaizer Chiefs side that battled to a 1-1 draw with SuperSport United. On the opposite end ,fellow Zambian International Gamphani Lungu came off the bench to play the last 25 minutes of the match for SuperSport but club/countrymate Billy Mutale was left out of the SuperSport match day squad.
It was an off weekend for Zambian National Davies Phiri [goalkeeper coach at Amazulu] and all at Amazulu Football Club.
Reigning ABSA Premiership Golden Boot winner Mwape Musonda is yet to be registered at club side Black Leopards who are still shopping him around with offers from Asia and the Middle East seeming to gather pace and as a result he was not included in the 18 man match day squad for the Leopards side that picked up a point in their home encounter against Highlands Park which ended in a 1-1 tie. Mamelodi Sundowns marched on to the next round of the CAF Champions League after a resounding 5-2 aggregate win over visiting Congolese [Brazzaville] side AS Otoho d’Oyo. Zambia’s most capped player Kennedy Mweene missed the match owing to the injury [concussion] he picked up on 1st August but has been making steady progress with some light training with a return date penciled for 3rd September.

Begian-born midfielder of Zambian descent Charly Musonda Jnr suffered a setback during a training session [knee injury] and was left out of the match day squad for the Vitesse side that took on Hercales Almelo in an Eredivisie encounter. Both sides shared the points following a 1-1 tie after 90 minutes.
Vitesse manager Leonid Slutsky was a sad before kick off when quizzed about Musonda because he had planned on fielding the midfielder from the get go, but gave the media a brief interview and said “I am worried about his future because he has huge potential. He was the leader of his generation of Chelsea players. He is the same age as Loftus-Cheek and Tammy Abraham who scored 2 goals today. Injuries are part of football.”
