Zambia Football Coaches Association president Daniel Kabwe and former Chipolopolo boss Honour Janza have backed new FAZ Technical Director Lyson Zulu.
According to the Zambia Daily Mail the two who attended interviews for the position with Zulu have wished the UK trained Zulu well and pledged to support the 32-year-old.
Kabwe: “We are in this together to develop Zambian football.
I applied but I did not make it. He beat us to it. We were all looking for the job but there can only be one. As an individual and as ZAFCA we are going to support him.”
We need to work as a team in order to develop football. It is about team work. Do you have his mobile number?
I want to congratulate him for getting the job.”
Janza: I am not bitter and I am not disappointed. We all need to work with him so that he can succeed. Congratulations to Mr Zulu on his appointment as our technical director. It is about team work and we will support him.”
Me: Am very impressed by this mature reaction from the two senior coaches.
I wish Mr Kabwe and Mr Janza well for the future. These are men we need for development.
As for Lyson, leave your door open to counsel from these two wise men who have selflessly demonstrated magnanimity in defeat.
Zulu was unveiled as FAZ Technical Director on Monday after succeeding at FIFA supervised interviews for the role.
