MTN/FAZ SUPER LEAGUE WEEK 18 FIXTURES
Saturday , 25/05/19
15:00 Mufulira Wanderers Vs Green Buffaloes
Wanderers need to pick up maximum points to make sure they cement their stay in the Super league . Wanderers are eighth on the log with 14 points just two above the relegation zone.
Their opponents Green Buffaloes on the other hand have nothing to fight for having survived relegation with their 2-1 win over Kitwe United last weekend. However Wanderers have not won any of their last six meetings with Buffaloes picking up only two points from a possible 21.
15:00 Zesco United Vs Kitwe United
(Levy Mwanawasa Stadium)
Zesco United will be aiming for a big margin win this afternoon when they host Kitwe United. They are second in Stream A with 30 points just one adrift of log leaders Kabwe Warriors who have a tricky encounter against Red Arrows at Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium. Zesco United need to win and hope Warriors drop points against Arrows .
Kitwe United on the other hand are fighting a different battle, They need maximum points and alot of lucky to avoid the drop. Kitwe United are bottom of Stream A with 11 points and need a win plus two other results going their way to stay in the top flight.
15:00 Zanaco Vs Prison Leopards
Zanaco started the season like a house on fire but a porous defence and losing games they are suppose to win has cost them as they need a big win to guarantee continental football at Sunset Stadium come August.
Prison Leopards on the other hand are fighting to keep their slot in the Super league and will not be an easy nut to crack as they want to do anything possible to stay in the top flight
15:00 Nakambala Leopards Vs Lusaka Dynamos
Elite Lusaka dynamos was suppose to be leading Stream A at this point but two directives from FIFA to FAZ telling them to deduct three points from Lusaka dynamos for failing to honour contractual obligations has seen them in 5th place and four points adrift of log leaders Kabwe Warriors. The team will however be looking to end the season on high.
Nakambala Leopards have already achieved their target for the season which was to survive relegation and will only be playing to end the season on a good note and maybe give their faithful fans a present.
15:00 Kabwe Warriors Vs Red Arrows
(Godfrey ‘Ucar’ Chitalu Stadium-Live on Supersport)
Kabwe Warriors fairytale season which has seen them go 17 games without defeat will face its biggest challenge yet as they host in-form Red Arrows at Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium this afternoon in the match of the weekend.
Warriors lead the log with 31 points but a loss may see them miss out on both Continental football and the ABSA Cup despite having had an impressive season so far. Bruce Musakanya led Red Arrows are fourth on the log with 30 points and still have a huge chance of qualifying for Continental football and even winning the Stream.
