FAZ Members Pass $10 million Chipolopolo Bond

The Move to revolutionise Zambian football running has been approved at the Annual General Meeting held in Lusaka at Intercontinental Hotel on Saturday.

After presentation by the interim committee chairman Mr Mutale Katema, members were invited to raise concerns on the proposed Chipolopolo bond.

Lusaka Tigers official Mumbo Lombe and former FAZ president Emmanuel Munaile presented made their verbal submissions.

After that the meeting was asked to adopt the Chipolopolo bond.

Mighty Mufulira Wanderers proposed that the landmark proposal may be passed.

Super Division champions ZESCO United seconded and the bond was passed.

It is expected that the bond shall provide resources to FAZ to enable Football House hire a world class Chipolopolo coach to help return Zambia to football glory and dominance as a powerhouse.

FAZ president Andrew Kamanga has insisted that Football House should move to financial independence.

The passing of the Chipolopolo bond is a clear indication FAZ councillors want to see a financially independent, accountable and transparent association.
