Striker Mavugo, 8 Others Axed In NAPSA Player Purge

NEWLY promoted Zambian Super League outfit Napsa Stars have announced the release of seven players as they continue fine tuning for the upcoming 2021/2022 season.

Umurundi striker Laudit Mavugo is one the notable players that have been released by the ‘Pensioners’. Mavugo came to prominence during the 2019 Transitional league when he netted ten goals to emerge joint topscorer alongside the then Forest Rangers duo of Ghanaian Zikiru Adams and Austin Kaunda Muwowo.

Others released are experienced defender Amos Simwanza, midfielder Joseph Mulombwa, the defence duo of Victor Mulenga and Khondwani Phiri, goalkeeper Emmanuel Mphasi and striker Kennan Phiri.
