SOUTH African Premier Soccer League giants Orlando Pirates are interested in the services of enterprising Zambia tricky midfield genius Joshua ‘Budo Mutale, Zambianfootballnews.com understands.

Budo as he is fondly called by his peers and fans attracted the eye of the Soweto based club at the just ended COSAFA tournament that was won by Zambia.

A source has told Zambianfootballnews.com “The boy is a marvel and Orlando boss Riviero sees him as a gem that can glue and his team immensely.

Orlando Pirates’ new head coach José Riveiro is set for his official start at the club and has recommended for the immediate inquiry of the Kitwe prodigy to be wooed to Soweto following his recent appointment in preparation for the 2022/23 season.

The Spaniard has joined the Soweto giants as the new man in charge of the technical team on a three-year deal, as confirmed by the club last weekend, and the tactician has retained Mandla Ncikazi as one of his assistants along with the Spanish coach he has brought along, Sergio Almenara.

The 20 year old is weighing options as he currently has a running contract with Kitwe glamour side Power Dynamos.

Zambia’s quest for a third appearance at the CHAN tournament will revolve around the sensational Power Dynamos gem starting with two legged qualifying affair against Mozambique this Saturday in Maputo and 30th July in Lusaka.
