ZAMBIA’s Shepolopolo alias Copper queens coach Bruce Mwape says the team is now focused on winning the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup title after securing a slot at next years’ FIFA World Cup.
Mwape says the first target was to earn a world cup slot and that the team is now eager to get to the final and bag the trophy. He has praised the players for putting up a good fight against Senegal in the 4-2 penalty thriller following a 1-1 draw.
Speaking during a post-match press conference, Mwape said it was worth noting how the team managed to contend pressure from the Senegalese who played their game using aerial balls.
And, Defender Lushomo Mweemba who got the player of match award said team effort made it possible for her to receive the accolade. (ZNBC)
