ZAMBIA’s Shepolopolo coach Bruce Mwape has downplayed barred star player Barbara Banda’s absence that his charges ara capable to battle for Zambia without her involvement at the ongoing Women Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
“This is a team sport it is not an individual sport,” says Mwape.
He said he hopes copper queens can manage without captain Barbra Banda at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
Mwape’s comments come after striker Banda was ruled out on medical grounds on the eve of the tournament, the Copper Queens held Cameroon to a 0-0 draw in their Group B opener on Sunday.
“We need to play as a team and whoever is present should actually play to our plan.” He said.
