Legendary Nkana boss Beston Chambeshi says the pre-season training in Mongu will help lay a strong foundation for Nkana to challenge for the Super League title next season.
Last Thursday, Nkana intensified training in the sand surfaces of Mongu ahead of the 2022/2023 season. Chambeshi said in an interview from Mongu on Thursday that the Kitwe giants have hit the ground running during their stay in the Western Province capital.
“We are in Mongu doing our pre-season training. So far so good and we are working hard and we are working on their (players’) fitness levels and making sure that everyone who is on board is pushing, which is good for the team,” he said.
“We know they are coming from recess, so what we are working on is their fitness. We want to make sure from here they are well adapted to their fitness, but for team bonding and building” said Chambeshi.
