LEGENDARY former Chipolopolo midfield magician Chisamba Lungu has left Lusaka giants ZANACO FC, Zambianfootballnews.com understands.
And in confirming his leave, Chisamba writes;
“From you, my esteemed colleagues, I learned so much. From professional skills to personal growth, you have helped me in so many ways. It is with great respect for each of you and sadness at the thought of no longer working together that I must say farewell. Many thanks and good wishes for all that is to come.And I thank you all Zanaco fans for the love and support you gave me while I was with you guys GOD bless you all.”
The 2012 Africa Cup of Nations winning midfielder joined ZANACO from Nkana in 2020 where he got snapped form the transitional season in November 2018 from Ndola side Buildcon but suffered a career threatening injury during a CAF Confederations Cup match against Zesco United which sidelined him for six months.
Chisamba also had stints in Eastern Europe i.e. Russia, Turkey and Georgia. His next destination is not yet known but a move abroad or retirement is on the horizon.
