FORMER Zambia wing wizard Clifford Mulenga has remained optimistic of Zambia’s chances of qualifying to the 2023 AfCON slated for Ivory Coast.

Mulenga writes;

Despite the loss to Ivory Coast last night, I still believe we will qualify for AFCON 2023.
A few tactical miscalculations were made which hopefully will be corrected on Tuesday.

We also have to stay fully concentrated for 90+ minutes. The technical bench can only do so much once the game has started and sometimes it’s up to the players on the pitch to identify weaknesses and correct them.
Otherwise the commitment from the boys was good and Tuesday we can only get better.
Once a Chipolopolo always a Chipolopolo.

Zambia lost 3-1 away in Ivory Coast in match day one of group H and welcome Comoros Islamds who were 2-0 victors over Lesotho on Tuesday.

Kick-off for Tuesday’s Qualifier match at the National Heroes Stadium is at 18h00CAT and tickets for the tie are on sale from K50-K200 via CompuTicket in all Shoprite stores countrywide.
