Bayern Munich and Liverpool sailed to the Quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.
The Bavarian giants thrashed Austrian champions RB Salzburg 7-1 on the night as Robert Lewandowski struck three times inside 24 minutes to score the earliest hattrick in UCL.
Lewandowski rose to the summit of the top scorers chart with his 12 goals, one better than Ajax’s Sebastian Haller (11).
Despite Liverpool going down by a 0-1 to Inter Milan at Anfield, the 6 times winners progressed via a 2-1 aggregate score.
