ZESCO United began their CAF Champions League campaign in Manzini on a losing note on Saturday afternoon as they succumbed to a 1-0 loss at the hands of Royal Leopards in their first preliminary round first leg encounter thanks to a Solomon Sakala 60th own goal.
The return leg is set for Levy Mwanawasa stadium in Ndola on 18th September.
The winner over the two legs proceeds to the next round of the 2021/22 CAF Champions League season.
