The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Zambian referee Mathews Hamalila as referee of the first leg, preliminary round match of the CAF Confederation Cup match between Marumo Gallants FC of South Africa and Futuro Kings CFA of Equatorial Guinea.
The match is scheduled to take place at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium on 17 September.
Zambian Soccernet reports that Hamalila will be assisted by compatriots Meck Zulu (1st assistant referee), Thomas Kaela (2nd assistant referee) and Audrick Nkole (reserve referee).
The CAF has also appointed Inacio Manuel Candido of Angola as the match commissioner, Dr. Thulani Khangelani Ngwenya of South Africa will be the COVID-19 compliance officer.
Meanwhile, Dr. Joseph Kabungo will serve as the Covid-19 compliance officer for three CAF inter club competition home matches involving Kabwe Warriors, Red Arrows and Zanaco to be played at the National Heroes Stadium between 11 and 19 September, while Dr. Collins Kabila has been appointed to serve as the Covid-19 compliance for Zesco United’s match with Royal Leopards.
According the fixture list released by CAF, Angolan referee Joao Amado Muanda will be in charge of Zesco United’s second leg of the first preliminary round match of the CAF Champions League with Royal Leopards at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on 17 September.
He will be assisted by fellow Angolans Julio Da Silva (1st assistant referee), Rosario C. Calembela (2nd assistant referee) and Helder Martins Rodrigues De Carvalho (reserve referee), with Ahmed Iddi Mgoyi of Tanzania as the match commissioner.
