Mwepu, Daka & Fashion Ruled Out Of Eq. Guniea Clash At Heroes

Fashion Sakala, Patson Daka and Shemmy Mayembe celebrate goal during the 2017 FIFA Under 20 World Cup

CHIPOLOPOLO Boys will be without the United Kingdom based stars in Enock Mwepu (Brighton, England), Patson Daka (Leicester City, England) and Fashion Sakala (Rangers, Scotland) for the upcoming Qatar 2022 world cup matchday3 qualifier owing to COVID red alert placed on Zambia by the UK government.

The British High Commission in Lusaka have released a statement which still shows Zambia appearing on the red list of Countries when it comes to Covid 19 meaning it could be tricky yet again for the UK based Zambian footballers to feature in the home World Cup Qualifier against Equatorial Guinea on the 10th October next month.

UK government statement on Zambia COVID status

The United Kingdon based stars missed Zambia’s home loss to Group B leaders Tunisia at Levy Mwanawasa stadium in Ndola owing to the COVID red list placed on Zambia.

It remains to be seen who Coach Beston Chambeshi will rely on as replacement for the trio with this unavailability development.
